Twenty dancers, 13 parents, 2 Champions, 7 podiums, 18 pieces of glassware coming back to Essex/Kent/Oxford/London, 100% recall for all of our dancers at the largest dance event in history and the trip of a lifetime!
From heavy shoes to cowboy boots, hair pieces to stetsons: Nashville, you brought it all and more! The amazing results speak for themselves and the memories were priceless.
Thank you to Frances, Guy and The Friends Of McGahan Lees for coordinating and supporting our dancers and MCGL families, enabling them to experience not 1 but 2 trips across the Atlantic this year! Team work really does make the dream work 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Not forgetting a big thank you to Grant for a fabulous photo-shoot. We can’t wait to see the final pics!

We are home after a fantastic British National Championships in Bolton, North East England.
We are so very proud of our small group that competed this year. Some personal best results and performances. The standard of dancing this year was incredible to watch, so we were privileged to see some unreal dancers over the three days there.

Three years in the making and this trip was simply fantastic! We had too many photos to share but this video sums up the week perfectly! 18 dancers, 100% recall, 2 Champions, 7 podium places and 14 Top 10’s.
Extra shout out to our three special supporters that were unable to compete this year due to injury along with our 2 World Medalists who were unable to attend. You’re all part of our team and we know it was difficult having to watch from the sidelines or back home.

After a very long week in Belfast, we are reflecting on our time at the Oireachtas Rince na Cruinne 2022 (WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS). We can’t begin to put into words how proud and delighted we are with every dancer that represented MCGL. What an absolute dream it has been … Having entered 22 UK, 1 Australian and 9 Mainland European dancers. We came home with 9 World Medal Holders, 7 Recall Medals, 2 Aisling award winners … AND 2 GLOBES 🌎🌍🥳🤩 😀
