A TCRG is someone who has passed the official teaching exam set by An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha, the governing body of Irish dance. These exams only take place once every few months somewhere in the world, and results come out subsequently. This time around, three of our former dancers have been successful in passing this prestigious exam, making a total of 14 TCRGs who were taught by Frances. We are particularly lucky that Caroline will be teaching with us.
Caroline Gray
In addition to having won every single major championship title, and successfully danced the lead in Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance Dangerous Games, Caroline has added her TCRG qualification to her list of achievements! Caroline will continue her role as lead and dance captain in Dangerous Games, however whenever she is home she will be joining us here at McGL as part of our teaching staff. Proud does not quite cover it!
We would also like to congratulate two other former McGL dancers on passing their TCRG exam this time around:
Jessie Leach
Jessie won many major championships for McGL,including the prestigious All Ireland title. She has also performed in Riverdance. We wish her the very best of luck with her teaching.
Adele Turner
Adele was also a top dancer with McGL, and now joins her sister, Ferne, in teaching at the Turner Academy in Kent. The two have set up a very successful school and we wish them all the best!
